Received on 01/21/2008 8:57:07PM The rails gem shows in my control panel as a system gem and is version 2.0.2. All of my applications are in an earlier version and 2.0.x is not fully backwards compatible. If I install an earlier version of the rails gem through my control panel will it override the system version? If not is there a way to remove the system version for my instance and allow me to install my own rails gem? ================================ Staff Sent to Jason McDonald on 01/22/2008 12:43:36AM Hello Jason We need more time to investigate the error. Has anyone had a chance to look at it? Also, do you guys have any documentation for how to deploy a rails app through the cpanel? I am not quite sure what I need to do as I have never run a RoR app on a hosted environment before. ================================ Client Jason McDonald Received on 01/23/2008 8:00:53PM Never mind about the rails gems version. After doing some reading I am going to upgrade all my apps to use 2.0.2. However, I still would like some info on how to set up a rails app through the MP cpanel if you have it. ================================ Staff Sent to Jason McDonald on 01/23/2008 11:43:44PM Dear Jason You would need to order SSH service for your account to be able to deploy RoR applications. http://www.midphase.com/special_offers/upgrades.html Please let me know if you have additional questions ================================ Client Jason McDonald Received on 01/24/2008 7:46:45AM The package I signed up for (http://www.anhosting.com/all-inclusive-web-hosting.php) shows that RoR applications are supported.
