The rails gem shows in my control panel as a system gem and is version 2.0.2.

All of my applications are in an earlier version and 2.0.x is not fully

backwards compatible.



If I install an earlier version of the rails gem through my control panel will

it override the system version? If not is there a way to remove the system

version for my instance and allow me to install my own rails gem?

I followed the documentation link from my cpanel for the version of rails

installed and it shows that rails 2.0.2 is in beta still...

I still haven't heard anything on this. Has anyone had a chance to look at it?



Also, do you guys have any documentation for how to deploy a rails app through

the cpanel? I am not quite sure what I need to do as I have never run a RoR app

on a hosted environment before.

upgrade all my apps to use 2.0.2.

The plan I purchased said it supports RoR. The support team is telling me that I

will have to purchase upgrades to do this though (which is false advertising).



I just want to know why I should have to purchase SSL in order to run a RoR

application?
