September 2008 CPI Data Out
24 10 2008The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) data is out and this is my monthly update to the projected annual inflation.

The inflation so far for 2008:
Southeast = [ ( 212.65 - 203.457 ) / 203.457 ] * 100 = 4.518%
National = [ ( 218.783 - 210.036 ) / 210.036 ] * 100 = 4.165%

Estimated CPI when average change is applied to the rest of the year:
Est. Southeast CPI = 212.65 + ( 3 * 1.021 ) = 215.714
Est. National CPI = 218.783 + ( 3 * 0.972 ) = 221.699
